We had decided to enter this contest and use it as a homeschool learning lesson. Everyone knows pi= 3.14.....etc. But we took a different look at it the fraction of 22/7. So you'll find our crust has 7 ingredients, and our toppings (fillings) has 22...thus 22 (items of filling) over 7 (ingredients of crust.) This was a great time with the kids---and its a delicious pi as well!

Step 1: Making the Crust - 7 Ingredients
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. yeast (dissolve in water)
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
olive oil (to drizzle over dough as it rises)
Mix ingredients together and set aside to allow the dough a chance to rest and rise! This amount of dough will make 3 pi pans.
Step 2: 22 Ingredient Toppings
Here begins our list/method of using 22 ingredients for the toppings. (I will number the ingredients in the parenthesis) ie. (1), (2), (3)etc
(1) 1 pound ground beef or turkey-browned and drained
add to this (2) 1/2 Tablespoon Chili Powder, (3)1 teaspoon Cumin, (4)1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder, (5)1/8 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
(6)1/8 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes, (7)1/4 Teaspoon Oregano, (8)1/4 Teaspoon Salt (9)1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
along with (10) 3/4 c. water. Cook this until it thickens and most of the water is gone.
The crust should be spread in pi pan.
Top the crust with (11) crushed tortilla chips--to cover the bottom of the crust.
Layer on meat mixture.
spread a thin layer of (12) sour cream.
Top with (13) 1/2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
and (14) 1/4 c. mozzarella finely shredded
Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes (or until crust is golden)
After the pi is finished baking, top with the following ingredients.
(15) Lettuce (16) Onion (17) Tomato (18) Jalapenos (19) Banana peppers (20) Olives (21) Taco Sauce (22) a dash of Season Salt.
