Introduction: Over Clocking Tutorial for a Friend

A tutorial on how to overclock an ASUS Striker II mobo.

Step 1: Bios

First you boot into the bios.
If you don't already know:
turn on your computer you will see the Republic of gamers screen. Then just start spamming the delete key.
there you go you should now see this.

Step 2: Extreme Tweaker Menu

Then hit the right arrow key to move to the extreme tweaker menu.
you should see this

Step 3: Ai Overclock Tuner

use the down arrow key to move down one space to "AI overlclock tuner"
When you have it highlighted hit enter.
then move up to Manual and hit enter.

Step 4: FSB

Now you should see this.

Step 5: FSB Cont.

Move down to FSB & mem Config.

Hit enter and you should see the FSB config menu.

Move down to FSB Memmory clock mode.

Hit enter on it and then move down to Unlinked.

Hit enter

Step 6: Ocing

Now you can mess with the FSB and the Mem frequency.
To determine what to move it to you have to do some math first.
In this case look at the FSB its a 1333 right now. Because i have a quad core i have to divide that by 4 to get the FSB thats roughly 333. Then you multiply by your core multiplier in this case its 8 then you have 2666. just move the decimal until its one away from the first number so its now 2.66. So use that to get the GHZ you want. Same with the ram but ram has less of a threshold than ur CPU so don't mess with that. Keep it what is.

Step 7: Finish

Now escape out until it asks you if you want to exit. Say no then hit f10 and say yes. your pc will now boot up and have fun with your newly OCed mobo. (If it messes up just ask me how to clear your cmos ok)
