In this instructable, it is time to rest, we deserve it for having worked all year, and what better way to do it than a pvc solar chair made by ourselves

Step 1: Tools and Materials

Tools

  • Tape measure.
  • Hand saw
  • Pencil or maker
  • Sewing machine

Materials

  • 2-1/4"PVC Pipes, Furniture Grade - 13 ft.
  • 8 Elbows (1-1/4" 90 Degree PVC fitting - Furniture Grade)
  • 8-1/4" PVC Tee Fitting - Furniture Grade
  • cloth canvas (19 in x 147 in)

  • scissors

Step 2: We Will Measure

We will perform the following measures.

number of pieces. measurements of the pipes.

  • 1 pipe 14 in.
  • 2 pipes 9 in.
  • 2 pipes 25 in.
  • 2 pipes 6 in.
  • 1 pipe 19 in.
  • 2 pipes 11 in.
  • 2 pipes 11 in.
  • 2 pipes 18 in.
  • 2 pipes 8 in.
  • 1 pipe 27 in.
  • 2 pipes 11 in.

In this step it is somewhat boring but you have to do it with patience to measure,

Remember that a good carpenter measures twice.

Step 3: Cutting

We will cut all the measurements of the pipes.

Step 4: Assembly

it's time to put together the puzzle, we divide it into two parts, some will be the base and the others the support.

The pieces for the base are these :

1) 1 pipe 14 in.

2) 2 pipes 9 in

3) 2 pipes 25 in

4) 2 pipes 6 in

5).1 pipe 19 in.

It has to be like the first image, and for the support they are :

6) 2 pipes 11 in

7) 2 pipes 11 in.

8) 2 pipes 18 in.

9) 2 pipes 8 in.

10) 1 pipe 27 in

11) 2 pipes 11 in.

Step 5: Prepare the Seat

For the seat we need a piece of canvas of any color that you wish.

The piece we use is 19 in x 55 in we measure 25 cm on each side this will serve to sew, only one side will be sewn in a straight line and the other side the corners.

Step 6: Place the Seat

We will put the piece number 1 on the side where he sewed in a straight line and the pieces number 9 on the side of the corners, then we will completely arm it

Step 7: Ready to Take Rest

Let's rest has been said,

Any questions, ask

Note: I occupied 1/2 PVC pipe because that alone was it.

Thank you for reading.

Question 7 months ago on Step 4

I don't see the two pieces which act as "pivots" between the base and seat frame sections specified in steps 2 or 4. These appear to be about 2" - 4" long and connect the base and seat frames at the sides, between the tee fittings. This project looks perfect for lightweight beach chairs!
