Step 1: Things You Will Need

Things you will need ( or as you drink wine up your collection)

1 - 2 PVC Pipes according to how many you will need ( I only used 1 pvc pipe) 1 1/2 inches or 2 inches depending on how many corks you want to put in ( you can go bigger, just remember you are going to need more cork) A good way to know a good size is by taking your corks to the hardware store and fitting them on the pvc pipe to your liking and picking your desired sized.
Any hand saw or pvc cutter (always use caution when using sharp tools)
Wine corks ( or just start filling them as you get them, that is how i did them)
sand paper any grid, the lighter the grid the more you have to sand
If you want to glue them together you can use a hot glue gun or pvc glue or plastic glue. if you are not going to glue them together you can stack one on top of the other and the sides of the shelve will hold them in place ( that is how i have them just in case you want to move them somewhere else)
And last a place where to place them

Step 2: Cut Your Pvc to Size

Lets start by cutting your pvc pipe to your desired length , remember that you don't have to cut them, that long because you will only see the front of the pvc. I cut my pvc to 6 inch size giving me 24 pieces from a 12ft pvc pipe, the shorter the pipe the less you will get and the longer the more you will get. A good rule of thumb is to measure the size of the pipe and then divide on equal parts. and now you can sand the ruff edges or the excess.

10ft at 6inch=20 pieces

12ft at 6inch=24 pieces

Step 3: Add the Cork to Your PVC Pipe Pieces

You have two options, you can place the cork inside of the pvc pipe before you place them in your desired final home or place the corks after you have set the pipes as you want.

Step 4: Stack Your PVC Pipe Pieces

Now you can start stacking your pvc pipe pieces into place, if you are not going to place them in a self contained unit, now will be a great time to glue them together ,as you place one piece you can glue the top where the next pvc pipe will lay and for extra security you can place glue on the side also where the side will touch with the next pvc pipe and that would give you the flexibility of placing your pvc anywhere. And don't forget to place the letters (if your pvc has letters) where they are covered by another pvc pipe.
