The easiest way is to touch your lower ear with your burned fingers as soon as posible. The Ear absorb the heat in seconds. Believe me.

I've burnt my fingers many times whilst soldering, as long as it's not a open wound, there's a simple thing that is in every house that'll take away the pain, guess what? its toothpaste! smear it over your burn, it will instantly take away your pain, leave it and let it dry and that's it. No need to kill and vegetables :) ...lol

The pain from a burn comes from the difference in the air temp and the temp of the burn. Cover the burn with ANYTHING that will keep the ambient temp air from the burn. Within seconds to a minute the pain is gone. I personally know this after suffering 3rd degree burns twice and severe second degree burns I can't count how many times. Ice feels best but one the burn is covered......pain gone and you aren't tied down trying to hold anything on the burn.

NOW you tell me. I just removed my neighbor's appendix with a rusty knife, and sewed him up with dental floss and a porcupine quill. I just asked myself, "What would MacGuyver do?"
