Step 1: Step 1: Supplies

-You will need some paper matches
-A lighter
-2 sewing needles
-A 1"X1" peace of tinfoil
-A 1/4" X 4" tube to launch with, one end must be plugged.

Step 2: Step 2: Begin the Design

Place one match onto the peace of tinfoil and then place a sewing needle on each side. The needles are to create holes for thrust and to light the match.

Step 3: Step 3: the Precise Stuff

You Absolutely must keep the needles flush with side of the match, you what each hole only the size of the needle, no bigger or smaller, next carefully mold the tinfoil around the match head as shown the the picture, keep the holes the size of the needles.

Step 4: Step 4: Almost There

Very, Very, Very carefully remove the needles, DO NOT CRUSH THE HOLES.

Step 5: Step 5: Prepare for Launch

Insert the rocket into your launch tube, leave a small about 1/2 of the match sticking out, use tinfoil to wad the tube and hold up your match.

Step 6: Step 6: 3,2,1, Liftoff!

Light the lighter and hold the flame on the tinfoil. POINT AWAY FROM ANYTHING FLAMMABLE. Hold it for a while and LIFTOFF. If it doesn't work try it again, be sure to not crush your holes.

We used to launch these off of a bent paper clip. Just bend up one end and it makes a great stand.

Light the foil that's part of the rocket, or the foil in the holder? Also, what is the 'holder' exactly?

Hold the flame to the foil on the match
the holder is a tube that you put the match in to set it off
