You know when you want to watch a YouTube video at your desk, but you don't want everybody to see you holding your phone because they'll know you're watching a video?
You need this super simple phone stand for your office. Made from office supplies you probably already have.
You'll need :
One 2 inch metal binder clip
Two 1/2 inch metal binder clips
One or two elastic bands

Step 1: Building the Stand
Clip the 1/2 inch clips onto the edges of the 2 inch clip where the metal is curled into a circle. Now you're pretty much done.
At this point it will hold a phone. Unless you feel like adding an elastic... then go to step 2
Step 2: The Elastic
The elastic holds all the clips together and if you do it right adds a non-slip cushion surface for your phone to touch. Also if you do it right, the elastic on the bottom will give the whole stand a slip-resistant bottom to keep it from moving around.
This is hard to describe and I tried it a few different ways. They all work, but this one worked best.
Wrap the elastic around the two small loop handles on the bottom clips. This will keep tension on them so they are less likely to slip off the large clip. Next pull the elastic around the bottom and through the large loop handle on the large clip. Then pull it through the second large handle. Then pull it over both handles back the way you came all the way to the front. In between the two small clips there is a small curved lip of metal on the large clip. Hook the elastic on this lip.
Now you're done... unless you have a big phone like a Samsung Note 2, then go to step 3
Step 3: Double Up
Repeat steps 1 & 2. Balance your big fat phone over two stands (see picture 1).
