Introduction: Pig Cupcakes

I decided to share tese because they are unique and fun. They've never been posted before that i could find so I decided to make them specially for Valentine's Day.  They could be used as a gift or for just someone that is bored and has some down time. They could also be made in any color or flavor making them an easy Project

Step 1: Step 1 Materials

Materials

Large Bowl
Store Bought Cake Mix
Pam
Cupcake sheet
Paper baking cups

Ingredients

Strawberry wafers

Bag of Chocolate Chips (One Pound Bag or Smaller)

Butter

Vanilla extract

Powder sugar

Heavy Cream

Cake Box Mix (Any Flavor you want will do)

3 Eggs

Water

Step 2: Step Two Mix Cake

Mix Cake Mix
Beat in a large bowl cake mix, water, butter, and eggs, on low speed for 30 seconds then on medium speed for two minutes then pour into the pan. You will want to make sure that there are not any chunks left in the mix before moving it into the pan otherwise your cupcakes may not turn out the right way.

Step 3: Step Three Place Mix in Baking Sheet

Take your cooking sheet and place baking cups into each hole in the sheet. Place your mix into each baking cup evenly or else they will not cook evenly. If Any of the mix spills onto the sheet make sure to wipe it off so it doesn't burn in the oven.

Step 4: Step Four Baking

Place baking sheet in the oven on center rack. turn oven on 350 for 18 to 23 minutes. Make sure to check them periodically as ovens may vary. You may need to rotate the pan to keep the cupcakes cooking evenly. Also judging on the oven the baking time could vary.

Step 5: Step Five Making the Frosting

While the cupcakes are cooking it would be a good time to start making the frosting. Frost them with this kind of frosting:

1 cup butter, at room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 cups powdered sugar

6 tablespoons heavy cream

For the frosting:

To make the frosting, in a bowl with a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix together the butter and vanilla. Slowly beat in the powdered sugar. Once smooth and creamy, add in heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time until the desired spreading consistency is achieved.

(I used 4 tablespoons of heavy cream)

Step 6: Step Six Finish Baking and Remove From the Oven

Take your cupcakes out of the oven and let stand for 2 minutes. After this take a tooth pick and insert it into the top of the middle cupcake. if you remove it and it does not have any cupcake residue on the tooth pick then they are finished and you can start creating your pigs.

Step 7: Step Seven Decorationg Your Creation

Take your frosting that you have mix and apply it to your freshly made cupcakes. Make sure to spread it evenly so that your projects will look uniform and consistant.

Step 8: Step Eight Making the Nose

Cut the marshmallows in half and use them for the nose and put two dots on the nose fornostrils on each cupcake(1 bag of marshmallows) I just took the extra frosting and put it in a zip lock bag with a hole cut at the corner. You don't need to use the extra frosting if you don't want to you can also take a knife and make little slits in the nose if you would like.

Step 9: Step Nine Making the Ears

Cut strawberry wafers into triangles and stick them into the frosting on each cupcake( 1 bag of strawberry wafers). Make sure that you place them well enough into the frosting to make sure that they stay togehter and don't fall apart. If you made the frosting correctly it should be able to hold up the wafers with no problem.

Step 10: Step Ten Making the Eyes

Put two chocolate chips with the point down for eyes in the frosting on each cupcake ( one bag of chocolate chips). It doesn't matter what kind you buy. Store Brand will serve just as well as the name brands will.

Step 11: Finished Cupcakes

Take cupcakes out of sheet and put on plate or whatever you wish. Then you are now ready to eat your pig cupcakes. Enjoy.
