Pikachu Swallowed a Box

This is a very simple and fast project to do with your kids.

Here is what you need for this project:

A small box, I used a 3X3.5 inches box

Construction paper. Since we are making Pikachu, we used yellow, red, blue and black construction paper

A glue stick (kids just love this........)

A pen and scissors

Step 1: Cover the Box With the Yellow Construction Paper

Very simple, give the glue stick to your kid and have him/her go crazy with the glue.

Cover the whole box and the paper with glue then wrap the paper around the box.

You might have to make cuts here and there to make it fit, just make sure the adult handle the scissors.

The bottom line is to have fun and not get injured.

Step 2: Cut Out the Pikachu Features

From the red construction paper roughly cut two circles for the cheeks and a very small nose.

From the black construction paper cut the mouth and two small circles for the eyes.

From the blue construction paper cut two small circles that fit inside the black eyes and glue them together.

From the yellow construction paper cut two triangles to used as ears and bend them at the bottom (see the picture)

Again the adult should use the scissors, or at the very least the kid can use it with adult supervision.

Step 3: Put It All Together

Now let the child glue the features on the box use the picture as a guideline.

And Voila Pikachu has swallowed a box, and it looks like Frankenstein got himself a bigger box.
