Introduction: Pimento Cheese

I think pimento cheese is one of those foods that you either love or hate. But don't mark yourself into the "hate" category until you've tried making this version at home - because it's SO much better than anything you can buy at the store. Plus, it's super easy!

Step 1: Ingredients

1 (8oz) block of cream cheese

2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 c. mayo

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp cayenne ** optional

~~ Optional ad-ins

- chopped celery

- finely diced bell pepper (red and green are both good)

- green onions

- jalapeno

Step 2: Mix, and Done

Mix everything together in a large bowl. Cream cheese can be a little annoying to work with - it's much easier to get a rubber glove and use your hand.

You can eat this right away, but it's a lot better if you wrap it well and let it chill in the fridge overnight.
