White sauce- 2tbs butter
                         2tbs flour
                         1/4 tsp salt

Step 2: Choux Pastry

Melt the butter with 1/2 pint water.and a pinch of salt...once melted add all the flour at once and mix well....and make a soft dough
once dough is cool add the egg one at a time and beat. before adding the last egg check for the thickness of the mixture ( if you are using medium eggs it shouldn't  be a problem.

Pre- heat oven at at maximum heat.

bake in the oven for 15- 20 min...do not let it get brown...then it would be crispy and difficult to slit open.

I wonder would the filling taste good cold? It sounds like it might make a good sandwich spread :-) Thanks for sharing, and good luck on the contest!

Sorry for the delay in reply.....i wanted to try it and see before i commented...and yes....it's a delicious sandwich spread...never thought to use it till you asked :-)

No need to apologize--I'm impressed you went and tried it! I will definitely put this on the list to try. I also do a relatively easy meal where I fill crescent roll dough with a chicken, cream cheese, and spinach filling, and I think your filling could easily substitute there. The thing I find neatest about things like Instructables is we share knowledge, and build on it, and come out with more and more awesome things just by sharing!
