Step 1: Paper

Get 1 piece of 8x11 paper (printer paper).

Step 2: Crumple the Paper

Crumple the paper up and slowly unfold it.

Step 3: Tearing the Paper

(This step is optional)

Carefully tear the edges of the paper to give an old look.

Step 4: Preparing the Water

(For this step you will need a large container that your paper will fit in.)

Take the large container and fill it up with warm water* this will be for the tea.
*It is very important that you use warm water for the tea to brew.

*Please have adult supervision because the water can burn you.

Step 5: Tea Time

Take the tea out of its package and soak it in the water for 5-10 minutes.

Step 6: Place the Paper in the Tea

Remove the tea bags and let the paper soak in the water for 30+ minutes. The longer you leave it in there the darker it will be.

Step 7: Dry the Paper

Once it reaches your desired color, remove it from the water and use a blow dryer to dry the paper.

Step 8: Drawing the Map

Once it is completely dry, you can draw whatever type of pirate map you want!!!
