Plants Vs. Zombies: Amigurumi Garden Variety Zombie

Introduction: Plants Vs. Zombies: Amigurumi Garden Variety Zombie

About: I love to create. Between crafting, sewing, crocheting, and cake decorating (www.creativecakemaker.com), I keep myself pretty busy :)

This amigurumi "Garden Variety Zombie" from Plants vs. Zombies was made based on the boy pattern in the book Complete Idiot’s Guide To Amigurumi, with modifications to the head, the leg and the clothes. The head has to be adjusted to account for the gaping mouth and bulging eyes. The body has the addition of a vest, jacket and tie, the clothing edges are "ragged" and the pants have part of a leg completely "ripped" off to expose part of the leg and knee.

The orange cone is removable and he has little tufts of hair scattered all over the top of his head (though you only see a couple in the photos).

The last photo has another zombie I made based on the first one. You can see it's slightly different - but I prefer the slightly smiling look the original zombie has. I'll have to make a third zombie to attempt making a pattern.

    It does let me download

Sorry, no. I haven't made a pattern for him. It was very, very loosely modeled after the "boy" pattern in "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Amigurumi" by June Gilbank.

Hi to Colorado from Berlin. Thank you for sharing your amazing work. Is there a pattern for those zombies available yet?

Quick I need a pea shooter! This makes me giggle every time I see it, just fantastic! Had you made any amigurumi before making this or reading the book? I ask because I'd love to learn how, but I am such a noob I don't want to fall flat on my face.

:) No, I hadn't made any before reading the book, but I did make some smaller things before attempting this one. If you can crochet, amigurumi is not difficult. It's that unintentional goofball smile of his that I just love!

I'm not awful at crochet but no expert, lol. I may have to try this out. I laugh every time I see this 'able btw. :)
