Intro: Playing Card Bow Tie
Okay, so all you'll need for this cute bow tie is:
1) Two Playing Cards
2) Masking Tape
3) Red or Black Yarn
Making these are really easy, and you can use them in your hair or as an actual bow tie for a costume, or whatever floats your goat. (Heheheh…I like goats…)
Step 1: Fold Your Cards
You'll want to fold your cards over for starters. It's pretty simple, just fold one end, and then fold it the other way, and keep going until you're out of card to fold.
Step 2: Tape Your Cards
Next, you just fold the cards in half, and then tape both folded card together with masking tape.
I used a good amount, I mean, you don't want your bow to break.
Step 3: Wrap Your Bow
Next, you'll wrap your bow with red or black yarn.
I wrapped it from one end of the tape to the other, and then back again.
When I started wrapping I left out a little bit of the starting part of the yarn, so when I wrapped the other way I could do a double knot with the other end.
Then you just cut off the extra ends.
Step 4: Completion!
Now that your bow tie looks pretty bow tie-ish, you just have to either glue it to a hair clip or glue it to some sort of neck thing so that it will look like a bow tie!
