Introduction: Plum and Apricot Fruit Leather Candy

I love sweets. This is an easy to make, healthy but very tasty treat. Give it a try!

Step 1: Ingredients

The only three ingredient you will need to get it done are the fruits (500g) and the sugar (120g) but using some spices make them taste much better I used cinamon, star anis and red pepper for the plum, as for the apricot I only used some fresh rosemary.

Step 2: Cleaning the Fruits.

I had to use alredy prepared apricots becouse the fresh ones were no longer available where I live.

As for the plums wash them then reove the sead by cutting the fruit in half.

Step 3:

first add the sugar and the fruts into a saucepan and wait a bit till the sugar dissolves and the plums go mushy then grind them down good and let it heat up to boiling.

Step 4:

Then add the spice and let it cook until the sauce gets denser.

Then remove any big pieces of spices like the star anis.

Step 5: Pouring the First

Pour the thicker paste first, pour so that when you slice it every piece will have both types of fruit. After pouring it out spread it using the back of a kitchen spoon or a silikon spatula.

Step 6: Pouring the Second Fruit

After pouring it out spread it right to the edge of the first pour. Then using the tang of a small fork or spoon mix them together in a circular patern.

Step 7: Drying and Preparing for Serving

Dry it at an oven first at 55 Celsius for overnight (for me it took about 10 hours but the actual time depends on the humidity and the thickness of the leather, so it is advisable to have a look once in a while after the fifth hour) then let it finish hardening in open air. After its done cut the sheet square and cut the straight stripes around 3cm in width.

Step 8: Serving

After the cutting leave the parchment paper on them and roll them. You may tie some string around them to keep them from unrolling.
