Poor Woman's 3pm Snack

Introduction: Poor Woman's 3pm Snack

I Brasil breakfast is big, lunch is the main meal, then you have a snack at 3pm or so. Dinner is usually a small bite of something.

When I was growing up and money was tight, my mom had to be very creative about food to keep 4 kids happy and fed. This was our "special" 3pm snack. And yes, all kids drank coffee from the time we could hold a mug.

- A slice of bread. I used my homemade bread. We could not afford to buy bread, so we made it.
- Butter. Here again I used homemade for the same reasons as above.
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- A cup of coffee. For me it has to be strong, sweet and with whole milk.

Slather butter on a slice of bread. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Dunk the bread in the coffee, enjoy!

I would have this for breakfast with milk all the time as a kid too, well I still do :) but I can't believe I never thought of dipping it in coffee before (*>.<) I know what I'm making for an afternoon snack right now...

I've always loved this! I would have this after school with sweet tea when I was little. :D

I never knew people outside my home ate it. Good to know.
