This rig is designed with fun in mind!
Using an empty pop bottle I'll show you how to make ice cream, milk shakes and slushies!
A great project for youth groups, tailgating and camping the whole process from start to finish takes about 7 - 10 minutes.

Step 1: Stuff to Get
Before we can start we need to gather some stuff up.
You will need:
One empty pop bottle (about a pint or so)
Some Rock Salt
1 gallon zip lock bag
and last but not least your favorite ice cream or sports drink mix.
I used a very simple recipe of low fat milk, sugar and vinella to make my shake/ice cream mix.
Step 2: Making a Freezing Mixture
Pour the ice into the zip lock bag until the bag is a little over half full.
Step 3: Making a Freezing Mixture
Add the salt to the ice, 6 or 7 tablespoons should do the trick.
Step 4: Add Your Treat
Put your treat in the bag and zip it up tight!
Step 5: Shake It Up Baby!!!
Now you want to cover the bag with an old towel (because once you start shaking it is going to get cold fast!).
Shake the whole rig anywhere from 7 - 8 minutes or until the shake/ice cream makes.
Be patient - it will happen.
Step 6: Enjoy
Your hard work will be rewarded! Enjoy your fozen treat!
Give it a try and let me know how you like it. This will work with sports drinks, colas, juices - just about anything liquid that isn't alcohol and it will cool that stuff off nicely - after all it is a freezing mixture!
