Power Supply for My Cordless Tools.

About: I like to make things, take videos, welding, soldering, software development, CNC, purebred dogs and I sell some of my stuff on https://www.etsy.com/shop/GreenAppleGoods

It happens that there is very little left to do, but the battery died . Waiting for charging could take half an hour or even longer . This is why I made an additional power supply for my cordless tools

Parts List

AC/DC power supply 90V~260V AC Input, Single Output 500w 18v

Tool Box

DC 0-30V 0-50A Red Blue Dual LED Digital Voltmeter Ammeter Voltage + Shunt

Plastic Case For DeWALT 18V Battery DC9096

If I to change anything about this set up it is the size of the tool box.
The one I got is 6.5" x 7" x 15" and it is a little crowded with the 18' long power cord coiled up inside of it

and possibly splice the power cord with a power connector right at the battery, so if I need to power up a 12V tool I could simply swap a battery with a step down housed inside of the battery/adapter case. The hardest part of the whole project is the search for the 18V power supply which can produce 20A +

A simple change to the power supply makes it usable across the full range of 18V power (cordless) tools https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD69XLxYX_k

Great upgrade. This would come in handy for long jobs that require a lot of tool use. How long is the cord that goes from the power supply to the drill?

I use some of this cable to do the wiring inside of the tool box. So the total length is 18' from the tool box to the power tool
