this is my first tutorial

I made those quad line stunt kite comand with pvc pipe of half inch, are ideal for revolution kite, nasa kite and another similars kites.

hice estos comandos con tuberias de pvc de media pulgada, son ideales para barriletes revolution, nasas y otros similares.

Step 1: Materials - Materiales

to make the comands I use:

-2 x 30cm 1/2" pvc pipe
-4 x 1/2" pvc pipe caps
- a coke plastic cap (red cap)
- a sprite (or pepsi) cap (blue or green cap) you can chose

-2 mt jute cord 
-2 mt nautical rope of 0.6 cm diameter

a drill for 0.8 cm of diameter
some of glue
stove and ligthfire
sandpaper and paint is opcional

para hacer los comandos use:

2 trozos de 30 cm de tubería de pvc de 1/2 pulgada
4 tapas ciegas de pvc de 1/2 pulgada
1 tapa plástica de coca-cola (o cualquier tapa roja)
1 tapa plástica de sprite o pepsi (o cualquier tapa verde o azul)

2 metros de cuerda de yute
2 metros de cuerda náutica de 0,6 mm de mena

un taladro con una broca de 8 mm
algo de pegamento para pvc
una cocina y encendedor
lija y pintura opcionales para la terminación

Step 2: Fire Danger - Cuidado Con El Fuego

use your stove and heat a pipe at 13 cm from a extreme, when you can curb it fold to 35~40°, repeat exactly in the another pipe. beware of injuries, use gloves and be responsable.

now you can sand all the pvc pieces for the painting, but doesn´t paint it.

usa la cocina y calienta un tubo a los 13 cms desde un extremo, cuando puedas curvarlo, doblado entre 35 y 40°, luego repitelo exactamente igual en el otro tubo, ten cuidado de las quemaduras, usa guantes y se responsable.

ahora si quieres puedes lijar todas las piezas de pvc, pero aun no las pintes.




Step 3: Glueing - Pegando

glue a pvc cap at the end of the largest extreme of the pipes.

now you have to drill the 2 caps that are free and glue to the shorts extremes of the pipes.

pega una tapa ebn cada uno de los tubos, en el extremo mas lago desde la curva.

luego perfora las tapas que quedaron libres, de manera que pueda ver su interior. luego pegalas en los extremos cortos.

Step 4: Drilling - Perforando

now beware, drill the largest extreme cap, only to the half of pipe, from the front.

the short extreme has to be drilled from the front to the back.

now you can paint the pipes, I used a cuper paint, because I wanted a steampunk style.

con cuidado, taladra la tapa del lado largo, pero solo hasta la parte interior del tubo, sin traspasarlo.

el extremo corto puede ser taladrado de un lado hasta el otro.

ahora pueden pintar el tubo si quieren, yo use color cobre por un acabado estilo steampunk.

Step 5:

when you have drilled, practice how to tie a Midshipman's Hitch Knot, or a 8 knot and the bowline

then use the nautical rope from the largest extreme and make a Midshipman's Hitch Knot in the extreme that is in the pipe. tug the rope and cut at 30 cm (seal all the cuts with the ligthfire)

now go for the short extreme, is a litle more complicated. make in the rope a bowline and whit help of a lithe linen tug the bowline trougth the back hole of short extreme (I had make a bowline and a 8 knot in the rope) and make the same for the rest of rope in the front hole. cut at 50 cm from the pipe.

ahora hay que practicar como hacer un nudo doble o lasca y el as de guia.

luego introduce la cuerda náutica por el agujero del lado largo. y trabarla por dentro con el nudo., tira la cuerda y corta a unos 30 cm desde el tubo. (sella todos los cortes con el encendedor). 

ahora se complica, haz un has de guia en la cuerda (yo lo acompañe también de una lasca) y con ayuda de un hilo pasa la cuerda a través de los agujeros (de manera que queden los nudos atrapados al interior del tubo). luego corta la cuerda a unos 50 cms desde el tubo.

Step 6: Tie and Finish - Amarrar Y Terminar

cover the short extrem of the pipes with glue and jute cord (can you use another tipe of cover, but this looking awesome) if you use this type of cover make sure it is hard glue.

now glue the bottle caps to the open pvc caps at shorts extremes, use the colors for recognize the hand to use, red for left and blue/green for rigth.

make knots in the rope, use the pic as guide you can use 1 or more knots for a rope, your kite will teach you how to use those knots.

finnally you have the quad line stunt kite home made comands

cubre el extremo corto con la cuerda de yute y pegamento, puedes usar otro tipo de recubrimiento, pero asegurate de que quede firme.

ahora pega las tapas de botella en las tapas de pvc abiertas en los extremos cortos, usa los colores para reconocer en que mano han de usarse, rojo izquierda, azul o verde en la derecha.

has nudos en las cuerdas de los mando, aquí usa la foto como guía, puedes usar mas de un nudo en cada cuerda, eso dependerá de tu cometa.
