Quick Carnival Popcorn

Introduction: Quick Carnival Popcorn

About: I love making things. Take a look at what I have! :3

One night I had a craving for some tasty popcorn. And not just simple buttered or salted popcorn, but amped up popcorn!

I spent the night looking up recipes, and all looked delicious, but they were all made for hand-popped kernels. But even though I had kernels, the family was asleep and I didn't want to make a big commotion.

So I ended up just popping a bag of salted popcorn instead. But then it occurred to me: "What if I added something to it anyways?"

And bless the popcorn gods, this is the tastiest snack ever! Taste just like that sweet and salty popcorn from the fair or flea market. Me and my sister couldn't stop eating it.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 bag of microwaveable popcorn
3 tbs of sugar
1/2 tbs of cinnamon
Non-stick cooking spray
Plastic bag
Bowls to serve in

(In this picture, I have 1 tbs of cinnamon, but it was a tad too much, so 1/2 tbs should work well.)

Step 2: Pop & Mix!

Put your popcorn in the microwave and pop it until done, and mix your cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.

Have your cooking spray ready!

Step 3: Place in a Bowl and Spray

Pour the popcorn into a strainer (be careful of a little mess under the bowl!). Spray with the cooking spray, mix with hands, spray, mix with hands, and repeat this process a few more times.

Pour the popcorn into a plastic bag (or pour it bag into the popcorn bag [read: not recommend])

Step 4: Shake Em Up!

Next, get the sugar and cinnamon mixture and begin the coat the popcorn.

Don't do it all at once though! You'll want everything to be coated, so pour some in, shake, and repeat the process until you have no more sugary cinnamon left.

Shake really well!

Pour coated popcorn into the strainer above the sink, and shimmy the excess sugary cinnamon away! This will limit the mess greatly when eating it.

Step 5: Serve in Bowls and Enjoy

Serve the popcorn in bowls or place it back into the bag and enjoy!

If you would've actually read my instructable, you would know that I already stated that I had kernels that I could've popped by hand, but wanted something quick and quieter.

And frankly, I don't care what you prefer to use, this is labeled "quick" for a reason. I didn't create this to hear what's healthy and what's not, I created it because it was quick, tasted good, and was available to me at the time. So excuse me for sharing my idea here.

I never use an microwave popcorn, it is in healthy due to partly hygronated oil used in those popcorn, and nuke it makes it even worse kind of oil. I suggest cooktop, air, or stir crazy popcorn.
