Intro: Quick & Delish Baked Eggs

Eggs are a useful source of protein, iodine, essential vitamins and is a very versatile ingredient.

These baked eggs are very easy and quick to make. It is a yummy and nutritious breakfast, but can be prepared anytime as a light lunch, snack or whenever you feel like it!

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need :

. Eggs
. Salt
. Pepper
. Dried Chilli Flakes (optional)
. A tiny bit of butter/oil/cooking spray (for greasing)

You can use any kind of spice/herb/seasonings that you like such as parsley, garlic seasoning, chives or even some shredded cheese.

Step 2: Pre-heat Oven

Preheat the oven to about 350 F.

Step 3: Preparing the Eggs

Firstly, lightly grease a muffin/cupcake pan with a tiny bit of butter/oil/cooking spray.

Gently crack the eggs into the tins.

Sprinkle some salt to taste, pepper and red chilli flakes over the eggs or your choice of seasoning.

Step 4: Into the Oven

Next, place the muffin/cupcake pan into the pre-heated oven.

Let it bake for about 10-15 minutes depending on how you like your eggs; shorter time if you like your yolk runny.



Step 5: Serve!

When the eggs are done, carefully remove the muffin/cupcake pan from the oven.

Allow to cool slightly before removing them gently using a fork/spoon.

Serve them with buttered toast or your favourite vegetable/fruit for a healthy kick.

These nutritious and delish baked eggs are now ready to be eaten, enjoy!

    What could we use as a substitute for the muffin pan?

    use the muffin pan but line the muffin tin with metal cupcake cups. prepare the eggs in them, bake, and they should be a little easier to retrieve.

    Hey, you could use ramekins, custard cups or even coffee mugs/little tea cups which are oven safe. You can even be a little creative and bake your eggs in a scooped-out bell pepper :)
