Quick hitch for pets

Did you ever have to attach the leash your pet struggle to place the ring or rings? Well it happened to me often.

This happens for example if: it's raining and you have an umbrella, or if you have another dog on a leash, or have your house keys in hand, cell phone in hand, one hand wounded, etc.. or at least only one free hand. But even if you have a free hand it may be inconvenient.

The main reason is that the ring on the collar or harness  is in the down position and before connecting the snap of the leash you have to lift it.

To solve this problem I have studied a simple system that takes erect the ring or rings and allow to quickly clip the leash without the aid of the other hand.

Vi è mai capitato di dover attaccare il guinzaglio del vostro animale domestico e faticare a posizionare l'anello o gli anelli? Ebbene a me capitava spesso.

Questo capita per esempio se: sta piovendo ed avete l'ombrello, oppure se avete un altro cane al guinzaglio, o avete le chiavi di casa in mano, un cellulare in mano, una mano ferita, ecc. o comunque una mano occupata. Ma anche se avete le mani libere potrebbe essere scomodo.

Il motivo principale è che l'anello sul collare o sulla pettorina è in posizione abbassata e prima di collegare il moschettone del guinzaglio bisogna sollevarlo.

Per risolvere questo problema ho studiato un sistema semplice che tenga eretto l'anello o gli anelli e consenta di agganciare velocemente il guinzaglio senza l'ausilio dell'altra mano.

Step 1: Normal Situation - Situazione Normale

Normally, the situation is the following: the steel rings are relaxed _ hang down. This creates the need to operate with both hands to clip the leash.

Normalmente la situazione è la seguente: gli anelli in acciaio sono rilassati e pendono verso il basso. Questo crea la necessita di operare con entrambe le mani per agganciare il guinzaglio.

Step 2: Before the Change - Prima Della Modifica

The rings are lowered and require elevation before you catch your leash.

Gli anelli sono abbassati e necessitano di elevazione prima di agganciarvi il guinzaglio.

Step 3: Preparation of the Ring - Preparazione Dell'anello

Using some zip ties, you can improve the situation without creating problems for our pet. In fact, the device will be flexible and not rigid.

It will suffice 3 nylon straps 12-14 cm long.

Place under the ring clamp nylon with the head to one side. Continue inserting further down in the other direction.

Now fix inside the ring of the steel nylon tie with another nylon tie.

Fold along the path to the remaining part of the nylon tie guide and secure with a third nylon tie as shown in FIGS.

Cut off the excess cable tie nylon

Usando alcune fascette di nylon, si potrà migliorare la situazione senza creare problemi al nostro animale domestico. Infatti il dispositivo sarà elastico e non rigido.

saranno sufficienti 3 fascette di nylon lunghe 12-14 cm.

Inserire sotto l'anello la fascetta di nylon con la testina da una parte. Proseguire inserendola più in basso nell'altro senso.

Ora fissare all'interno dell'anello di acciaio la fascetta di nylon con un altra fascetta di nylon.

Piegare lungo il percorso la parte rimanente della fascetta di nylon guida e fissarla con una terza fascetta di nylon come mostrato nelle figure.

Tagliare la parte in eccesso della fascetta di nylon

Step 4: Risult - Risultato

The end result will be the following.

With smaller collars and harnesses will be more visible bulky device, but still acceptable (last photo).

Il risultato finale sarà il seguente. Con collari e pettorine più piccole sarà più visibile e ingombrante il dispositivo, ma comunque accettabile (ultima foto)

Step 5: Device Completed and Ready - Dispositivo Completato E Pronto

Once attached nylon ties on the rings, the collar or harness is ready to be worn.

Now it has become much easier to attach the leash with one hand!

Una volta fissate le fascette di nylon sugli anelli, il collare o la pettorina è pronta per essere indossata.

Ora è diventato molto più facile agganciare il guinzaglio anche con una sola mano!
