Introduction: Quilled Ganesha

I made this quilled ear rings but didnt like the finished work at all. Which made me think of doing something else with it. This became base for my Quilled Ganesha. I dont have the ible for Earrings but still sharing the pictures here

Step 1: Quilled Earring

I am very bad with art and craft. I can not even draw a line straight. One day I saw ible for Quilled Earring and I was just amazed with the creativity..colours..amazing styles and design.. This was the third piece I made. I might not be able to share all the images as I wasnt planning to write the Ible for this one ;-) But I did..

Things I used:

3 mm Orange and Blue Strips

Red and White Rhinestone

Glue ( I am using the white glue which leaves a little blackish mark all over the place on the creation and is available at the stationary shops. I really have no idea which is glue that I should use and is available in India)

I used Beehive technique to fill in the Oval Shape for the piece

Step 2: Quilled Ganesha

Ganesha is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India. Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations.Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India.
Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.Several texts relate mythological anecdotes associated with his birth and exploits and explain his distinct iconography.

My inspiration was the image which I found on Google while looking for quilled 3D miniatures

Step 3: Trunk, Face, Body, Arms, Legs and Deity Seat.

I made two tight circles. One was bigger than the other one. The smaller one is for the face and the bigger one was for body.

I made ears with another tight circles and pinched them outwards to make them look like ears. I made the Trunks, The arms and The legs with quilling a strip in circle and pulling them outwards rather than making a complete circle (Please understand I am new at quilling and writing Ible)

Joined all the parts.

I made the Deity Seat with the earring and for the back support I made circle with the flower petals.

Step 4: Final

I made a small mouse as well. Please leave comments to help me get better. I did paint some eyes later. The final image will be uploaded soon.
