Finger Millet pudding an easy, delicious and healthy dish. Finger Millet pudding is a good choice for breakfast and snacks.
Finger Millet/Ragi is very useful for the bone growth and overall development.

Ingredients:

3-4 tablespoon melted unsalted butter or ghee

1 cup Finger Millet/Ragi flour

1/2 cup sugar or to taste2 cups milk

1/4 teaspoon green cardamom powder

Chopped nuts and raisins as per required(optional)

For Garnishing:

Dry Fruits Chopped as per choice

or

chocolate syrup or chocolate chips or chocolate vermicelli as per choice

Step 2: Method

In a heavy bottom, pan melts the ghee over medium heat.Add ragi flour and roast over medium heat stir continuously until you get a roasted aroma.

Step 3:

Add sugar and dry fruits.

Step 4:

Mix well.

Step 5:

Add hot milk and cardamom powder.

Step 6:

Continue stirring the halwa to prevent lumps from forming.

Step 7:

Cook the mixture till it starts leaving the sides of the pan.Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool to a warm temperature.

Step 8:

Garnish with chopped dry fruits or chocolate syrup and chocolate chips as per choice.

Note:

  • As the Halwa cools it will thicken more if the Halwa looks dry then add hot milk as required.You can also add jaggery or date syrup instead of sugar.
