Hi, I'm Ashton, in this Instructable I'll be showing you how to make your own rainbow elephant toothpaste at home!

Supplies:

For this project, you will need

1. dish soap

2. hydrogen peroxide (10% works best but less will work)

3. yeast

4. food coloring

5. hot water

6. 7x solo cups (you can use any container but it works better if it's slim)

7. a flat surface with raised edges, e.g: a baking pan

Step 1: First Gather Your Supplies

ok, now it is time to get your supplies.

For this project, you will need:

1. dish soap

2. hydrogen peroxide (10% works best but less will work)

3. yeast

4. food coloring

5. hot water

6. 7x solo cups (you can use any container but it works better if it's slim)

7. a flat surface with raised edges, e.g: a baking pan

Step 2: Arrange Solo Cups and Add Soap

Put your baking pan (or anything with raised sides) and then place 6 solos in the order like those above. then add about 1tsp of dish soap. then move onto next step.

Step 3: Adding Peroxide

Now its time to add peroxide to the solo cups i added 1/4 of peroxide per solo cup.

reminder: 10% works the best but less will work.

Step 4: Food Coloring

Now it is time to add the coloring!

the colors i used were:

10x drops of green

10x drops of red

10x drops of blue

10x drops of yellow

10x drops of purple

10x drops of violet + blue

Add them into their own cups

p.s( for lighter shades add fewer drops and for darker shades add more)

Step 5: Making the Yeast Mixture

Now it is time to make the yeast mixture. get a new solo cup and add 2 cups of hot water and add 5 tablespoons of yeast and mix thoroughly.

Step 6: The Fun Part

Now it is time to add the yeast mixture to the solo cups on the tray! pour 1/6 (a little more than 1/4 cup) into each solo cup quickly. i just poured the mixture over the cups and that worked pretty well.

Step 7: Reaction Time!

Now your solo cups should be overflowing with bubbly colorful fun! at this point, you can mix and play with t!
