This is not my favorite dessert, but it tastes good and it looks nice.

Step 1: Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients.

Colorful Jello
*Measuring Cup
*Mixing Bowl
*Whisk
*Hot Water (Boiled)
*Cold Water (Boiled before)
*Serving Dish
*Colorful Jello Mix

White Sections of the Dessert
*Mixing Bowl
*Whisk
*Hot Water (Boiled)
*Sugar
*Sour Cream
*Gelatin

This Rainbow Jello-O will be made with different colored Jello-O and a white type of Jell-O made with Gelatin and Sour Cream. It will go in an order:

Red Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Orange Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Yellow Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Green Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Blue Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Purple Jell-O

Also you can top it with anything you want, I will top mine with whipped cream, some fruit, and grated chocolate/toffee.

Step 2: Mix Your First Color

Place your first color Jell-O mix into the mixing bowl, and pour 1 cup of hot water (needs to be boiled water) and whisk it until the powder as dissolved.

After the powder has dissolved pour a little less then 1 cup of cold water (that was previously boiled) into the mixing bowl and mix together.

Make sure that the liquid Jell-O is not hot or warm, if it is leave it on the counter and let it cool down.

After it has cooled down, pour your first color into your serving dish (depends on the size of your dish), and place it in the refrigerator to settle.

Step 3: Sour Cream Jell-O

Now it's time to make the white parts of the Rainbow Jell-O.

In a mixing bowl, put 1 pack of Gelatin and 1/2 a cup of water, mix it together until well dissolved.

Then add about 3 1/2 tablespoons of sugar (this is the part where it's up to you, you can put more or less) and mix it well.

After the sugar has dissolved add 1 pound (16oz) of Sour Cream, and mix it all together very well.

If your first layer of Jell-O has settled your next layer will be the Sour Cream Jell-O, you will be going back and fourth and put 1 layer of colorful Jell-O and 1 layer of Sour Cream Jell-O.

Before you put in the Sour Cream Jell-O each time give it a mix.

Step 4: Decorating

After you have done all your layers, like I ordered in step 1:

Red Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Orange Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Yellow Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Green Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Blue Jell-O
Sour Cream Jell-O
Purple Jell-O

and they have all settled firmly, you can decorate.

You can place things like fruits, whipped cream, grated chocolate, grated nuts, anything you like.
