Intro: Really Cheap Throwing Star

Possibly the easiest way to make a metal throwing star.

Step 1: What You Need

A can of anything (tuna works well)
A little opener (in the picture)
A can opener

Step 2: First...

Cut out one part, than go straight across and cut another.Do that over until it has eight parts out.(the top should look like this)

Step 3: Second...

Open the can like you normally would and fold out the tabs.

Step 4: Third...And Last

Chuck it at your brother and eat the tuna!WARNING: May cause injuries, I am not responsible.

This would be good with one of those can openers that cut off the metal rim with the top. It would not cut in as deep on impact but the ring would give stability and weight for a mor accuate long distance throw.

curious... you show the process, but not the product. fini2 shows the product but not the process... I smell the need for collaboration. my only question is, what tool did you use to cut the rim off of the can? My can opener would leave the rim on the can.... or did you use the can punch, and stop before the edge? nm. Just googled... they make can openers that'll unfold the rim... should add a hammer/rock/etc. to the list of tools needed. to flatten the tabs to the out pointing position.

i like it! Very good idea. Just a hint: Don't put the "this is my first instructable" in. It turns people away and it gets very annoying. But i like what you've tone, i will make one! just add a little more detail.

I like it, but it might get into the wrong hands. it would be nice if you had a little more detail, since its kinda confusing.
