Perfect for any festive owner of a keychain or bracelet collection! This easy holder recycles a glass bottle and brightens up any room with a little holiday bling.

(Especially good for kids!)

Step 1: Materials

Materials:

empty glass bottle (I used a Snapple bottle)

thin metal rod or thick wire (at least 16 inches/40 cm)

brown (or any color you want the ears to be) paper, at least 3'' by 6''(

anything you want to decorate the face with (permanent markers, pom poms, googly eyes, colored paper, etc.)

a pair of pliers

scissors

glue stick or white glue

tape

rice (optional)

hot glue (optional)

**Note: It will help if you read through all of the instructions before starting.

Step 2: Antlers

Bend the metal rod in loops. You can do this however you want, just make sure that the left and right sides are symmetrical, and that there's a downwards loop in the middle (ensure that the loop can fit in the mouth of your glass bottle). It'll be easier if you bend the rod in half before starting on the other loops.

The middle loop will go in the mouth of the bottle, the other loops are where the keychains/bracelets will be stored, and the symmetry will help the antlers balance on the bottle.

You can hot glue the antlers to the rim of the bottle to prevent it from falling off. I prefer not to because the antlers can swivel and it's fun to balance things. If you decide to hot glue the antlers onto the bottle, do it after you're done with everything else.

Step 3: Ears

With the wider side facing you, fold the brown (or other color) paper in half vertically (hamburger fold). If you used a square piece of paper (like me), it doesn't matter. Cut out a pointed arch, and fold it so that the bottom corners meet. Then cut a one inch piece of tape horizontally and vertically into four pieces. Use one piece of tape to hold each ear together. Attach the ears to the antlers just above the middle downwards loop with the remaining two pieces of tape.

You can also decorate the ears if you want!

Step 4: Face

This part is pretty much open to personalization. You can do the face however you want using whatever you want, here's a list of ideas:

pom poms

googly eyes

sequins and glitter

rhinestones

colored paper

pipe cleaners

washi tape

ribbon

permanent markers

paint

I used colored paper and glitter tape. Attach facial features with a glue stick, white glue, or hot glue. If you want, you can also fill the bottle with rice, which makes it less likely for the bottle to tip over.
