Replace the Samsung E-250 Earphones With a 3.5 Female Audio Jack

Replace the headphones with a 3.5mm audio jack so you can connect your favourite headphone or even connect it with an amplifier.

Step 1: Things Required

Thing you need : Samsung headphones (or other phone headphones if similar)
Flathead screw driver
10 cm piece of audio wire
one female 3.5mm audio jack
soldering iron and solder

Step 2: Opening the Plastic

First we need to open the small case so that we can remove the old earphones and install the audio jack. This is a bit tricky and hard to open. Be careful not to break the case. Use the flathead screw driver to open this. once you opened this take out the small board.

Step 3: De-soldering the Wires

Now we have to remove the earphones wires so that we can install the audio jack. Carefully heat up the connections and remove the wires.

Step 4: Prepare the Audiojack and Audio Wire

To connect the audio jack i used a piece of audio wire. It has one wire for left, one for right and two wires GND. Twist the gnd wires at one end together and solder them to the middle of the audio connector. Then connect the other wires to the sides(left and right). Cover with tape.

Step 5: Connect With the Board.

Now it is time to connect with the board. Connect the gnd wires where there is R- and L- written. Then connect the red wire with the R+ and the white wire with the L+.

Step 6: Closing the Case Again.

Now we are finished. All we need to do is to close the case again. If you want you can close it with some glue.
