Rig Gas Lift Struts With Sugru

We have a great laser cutter in our space, but unfortunately the gas lift struts on the door are out of gas. So awkward when you're trying to get stuff in and out of the machine and the door drops on you. Doh!

To hold up each strut we laser-cut a prop out of perspex. Along the edge of the strut that sits on the machine we used a piece of rolled Sugru to provide grip. And being soft, the Sugru won't scratch up the machine.

Sugru rolls really well between your hands, so there are a heap of possibilities for using it in this way.
