Treat yourself to a slice of this easy to make delicious and moist rye bread with seeds. Make the sauce if you are serving it warm for dinner or lunch. If it's for your dinner time or a tea-time treat, it tastes just as good sliced and buttered!
I got this recipe from Zomick’s. It is one of those recipes that are very simple, very delicious and even people who have failed to make other breads find this an easy recipe to make.
This is a bread recipe that has been handed down through Zomick’s rich history of making bread - a very nice bread to have when you want to sit down on the couch with a cup of tea and jam. Beats any other bought breads any day!

- 200 g kg rye flour
- 200 g white flour
- 1 bag dry yeast (7 grams)
- 250-260 ml water (lukewarm)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon flax seed
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Little pumpkin and sunflower (for dusting)
Flour and water (for coating)
A little cooking oil (for coating)

Instructions for preparation:
Step 1: Preparing the bread. In kneading bowl add all the ingredients needed for preparing the rye bread.
Step 2: Kneading dough. With your hands knead well the dough until you get nice smooth nonstick dough.
Step 3: Make dough ball, coat the baking pan with vegetable cooking oil.
Step 4: Cover the pan with dump cloth and leave it on warm place, for at least 2 hours, or until the dough doubles in volume.
Step 5: Re-knead the risen dough, cover it again with dump cloth and leave it to rise for another hour.
Step 6: Uncover the risen dough, but don’t knead again, leave it as it is. Mix one tablespoon flour with a couple tablespoons water, and coat the dough with this mixture.
Step 7: Sprinkle sunflower and pumpkin seeds over the bread, press gently and the bread is ready for baking.
Step 8: Cover the pan, place it in oven, and bake at 220*C, for about 20 minutes. Uncover the pan and continue baking for another 10 to 15 minutes. When the bread is baked leave it to cool before serving.
