Introduction: STRAWBERRY GUACAMOLE

Strawberry Guacamole is a fun (and delicious) change up from your classic guac. It is the perfect mixture of sweet, with a little bit of spice. It is a quick and easy recipe that you can enjoy on your own, or bring to a gathering that many people can enjoy!

Ingredients:

- 2 avocados
- 1 cup strawberries
- half of a jalapeños (cored and seeded)
- 1/4 cup red onion
- 2 tablespoons cilantro
- salt to taste

Materials

- mixing bowl
- knife
- fork
- chips (whatever you prefer!)
- all ingredients

Step 1: GET AND PREPARE ALL INGREDIENTS AND MATERIALS

It's almost time to start cookin'! But first, let's gather all of our ingredients and materials in one place. Let's make sure we have a clean surface to work on, wash your hands, and get to work.

To make life much easier, it is essential to prepare all chopped food or measurements before hand. This will make your time in the kitchen more efficient and allow you to dig into your guac much quicker!!

Step 2: CUT AND PREPARE AVOCADOS

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit with a knife (or any other method you use), and scoop out the insides into a bowl.

DO NOT THROW OUT THE PIT. It will be used for later :)

With a fork, mash avocados into preferred consistency. Mash a lot for a smoother consistency, or less for a chunkier consistency.

Step 3: MIX IN OTHER INGREDIENTS

Now, add in the prepared strawberries, jalapeño, red onion, and cilantro. Add in the salt to taste, or don't use it at all! It's your guac!

Then, mix them into the avocados and make sure they are consistent throughout the guac.

Step 4: DIG IN

YOU'VE FINISHED! It's time to devour your creation with your favorite chips. Put the guacamole into a different bowl for entertaining, or use the same one if you are that anxious to eat it! Try your best to save some for your friends to enjoy, but if you end up eating the entire thing in one sitting, no shame!

Step 5: SAVING IT FOR LATER

If you find the power to stop yourself from eating the entire bowl, make sure you are storing it in the correct way. Remember the avocado pits I told you to save from before? Well it's time to use them.

Place the pits of the avocado into the guacamole and cover it with aluminum foil or cling wrap. The pits prevent the avocados from browning as quickly. Place in the refrigerator and enjoy later!
