In this instructable I would like to show how can we make a sunflower in home to decorate our room with colorful and beautiful.

As a lover of flowers I try to make different flowers using organdy cloth in home.

Here I make a sunflower because sunflower loves sun...and the sunflowers are bright and cheery, and as warm and inviting as the sweet summer sun. The yellow petals called as “rays,” sunflowers have an unmistakable sun-like appearance that has made them a crowd favorite, especially in the summer months.

So I decided to make sunflower.

Let us start....

Enjoy with my sunflower making....

Step 1: REQUIRED MATERIALS

Organdy Cloth : Here I use organdy color of Yellow and Green
Cardboard piece (round shape) :desired diameter
Pencil
Scissors
Gum (FEVICOL)
Green Tape
Beads of color Black and Gold
String

Step 2: Pedicel Making

Take a round shaped cardboard piece or make a circle from a cardboard piece of desired size.

Make two holes using pencil as per the images shown above.

Take the folded string and attach to the round shaped cardboard through holes and twist the two ends to fix it tightly to the cardboard as shown in the figure above.

Take green colored organdy cloth and make a square using scissors of desired dimension.Cover the cardboard and attach to the string by twisting the cloth.

Using the floral tape of green color cover the cloth and string as shown in figure(no need of using gum because the floral tape has glue on itself so it should stick on the cloth and string).

The green colored pedicel is ready.....

Step 3: Disk Florets

Draw a circle as seen in the picture.

Apply fevicol inside the circle.Pour the black and gold colored beads to it.

It is the part of the sunflower called DISK FLORETS .It's color is black or dark color in most of the sunflower.

Step 4: Petals

In this step we want to make petals for our sunflower of yellow color.

Take an yellow colored organdy cloth and fold into to get a rectangle shaped as much as possible as shown in the above figures.

After this make a petal shape on a paper of desired size.Make many number of petals of size same as the paper petal.I make petals of small size.

The yellow colored petals are ready....... We need a number of petals that is why, we want to made a 3 or 4 layers of petals for our sunflower...

Step 5: SUNFLOWER

In this we want to attach the petals on the cardboard.Apply fevicol as shown in the figure.arrange athe petals on it. After completion of first layer attach the petals alternative to the petals and repeat the process till the end of the petals as shown in the figures.For the final touch ,pour some golden beads around the disk floret.

At last......

Our sunflower is ready....
