Step 1: Make Dirty Laundry

Play in the dirt

Step 2: Load Washing Machine

Step 3: Dry

Do not use your drying machine! Make a clothes line in your garage or back yard. Some place with lots of sun or sheltered from the rain. Using a basket to put them in before hanging up will be faster. If they are in an area with no wind you don't need clothes pins either, which will be faster. Your clothes will last a lot longer also:-)

Line drying is a good idea if you have a place to do it like a garage. Garages usually get hot in summer anyway, so it can work for you. If you have a large utility room or attic room, you can use that as a social room in the winter, a room which people and appliances heat, and which a space heater warms often, without having to superheat the whole house.

    Save "thousands"? Maybe "dozens".

Still, it's definitely a good idea.
