Sea Glass Basket Earrings

About: I run a little company that rebuilds old homes. When we aren't up to our elbows in demolition dust, I'm obsessed with recycling, crafting and cooking.

Smooth sea glass, polished by the waves, float inside their little wire baskets. Each cluster dangles gently from a sterling silver ear hook.

Tools used:
Ear Wires
Sterling silver wire
Sea glass
hexagon finding
round tip pliers
flat tip pliers

I made these for a few friends who have summer birthdays!

I have never attempted a project like this one and am curious if you could explain what the attaching to the find means? I'm not a jewelry maker and don't quite follow that part. Is it the original metal cage type thing before u start wrapping the wire around it? Or am I way off? I really like how you've wrapped everything again in string, it gives the illusion that it's being held in string. Very cool looking.
