Introduction: Shell Pasta With Basil Sauce

This is one of my favorite pasta recipe which I enjoy cooking it for my friends when they pop in  with a short notice.It is very easy to make,but taste really good.

Step 1: Ingredients

This amount is for two people.

Shell Pasta (just enough for 2 of us)
Olive oil
Cherry tomatoes 
Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil leaves
1 -1 1/2 T spoon Cumin powder
 2-3 Tble spoon Paprika powder
2 T spoon Balsamico 
1 small  Onion( forgot to include)
3 Garlic
Little bit fresh cream
Pine nuts

Step 2: Cook the Shells

 In a pot bring water to boil.When the water is really boiling and bubbles out throw in  the shell pasta,add salt,and a bit oil so that it does not get sticky.Cook for 10- 12 minutes and drain the water off immediately.Even though I write to you at the biginning this has to be done last ,so that you can have it warm.If not you need to use the micro oven or warm it up over again.

Step 3: Cook the Prawns

Heat olive oil in a frying pan stir fry finely cut onions until golden color ,then throw in the prawns and keep stirring once in a while on slow fire.First  I cooked in a pot,and realized a frying pan is better,so I transferred in to a frying pan.Then add the paprika powder,cumin powder and salt to taste.Ths has to be well cooked until it  is a bit dry in consistency.

Step 4: Make the Pesto Sauce

Chop  the fresh basil leaves straight away from your pot.Wash them well,and throw them in to a long  mixing jug.Add a little bit olive oil,chopped garlic,a little bit salt,pine nuts, balsamic acid and 2 full spoons fresh cream.Grind them to a paste with your hand mixer.Thats it. This is one of the best sauce I have ever made.Goes well  with all types of Pastas.

Step 5: Garnish

Garnish with grated Parmasen cheese and cherry tomatoes.I love these two very  much ,so there is no amount for it as I load my plate with a lot of cheese and tomatoes.
This is a simple and easy  Pasta recipe,but taste really  good.Who ever who tries this out please let me know how it turned out.
