Step 1: Parts List

• 2 * IRF540 MOSFET
• 2 * 470 Ohm
• 2 * 2N2222
• 2 * 4.7uF/50v
• 2 * 3.3k Ohm
• 2 * Heat Sink
• 1 * 2 & 3 Pin Terminal Block
• 1 * 1.2k Ohm
• 1 * RED Led
• 1 * Bulb Holder
• 1 * 240v to 12-0-12V 5amp Transformer

Step 2: Circuit Diagram

Construct the circuit according to the circuit diagram.

Calculation :

Let's see the calculation

The frequency is given as

f = 1/T

or

f = 1/1.38*R*C

where : from our circuit diagram R3=R4=R & C1=C2=C

In my country the standard frequency is 50Hz

So considering that our f = 50Hz

since i have two spare electrolytic 4.7uF/50v, i have chosen C1 & C2 to be 4.7uF

Now we are left with R3 & R4 calculation

Substituting all the values that we know, we get

R = 1 / 1.38 * 50 * 4.7u

Hence R = 3083 = 3k

Considering the nearest available resistor value i have chosen 3.3k ohm

So our values are

R3=R4=3.3k Ohm

C1=C2=4.7uF

f = 50Hz
