Introduction: Simple Lower Back Popping Exercise

Do you suffer from lower back pain? Do you feel as if you can never properly stretch your back? Well, this is the exercise for you!

This Instructable will demonstrate how to relieve lower back pain with a simple popping exercise. This is a highly unique exercise that was provided by a physical therapist. This exercise only takes 3 minutes.

Step 1: Materials Needed

  • Yoga mat
  • Resistance band

Step 2: Lay Out Your Yoga Mat.

Step 3: Sit on Your Yoga Mat and Stretch Out One Leg at a Time and Reach for Your Toes.

Step 4: Next, Bring Both Legs in to the Butterfly Position and Stretch.

Step 5: After the Butterfly Stretch, Lay on Your Back and Place the Middle of the Resistance Band on the Sole of Your Right Foot.

Step 6: Now Extend Your Right Leg While Slowly Pulling Back on the Resistance Band Until You Reach a Comfortable Stretching Position.

Step 7: Repeat Steps 4 & 5 on the Left Leg.

Step 8: Pull Both Knees in Towards Your Chest and Slowly Rock From Side to Side (3 Times on Each Side).

Step 9: Slowly Extend Both Legs Out and Make Sure to Keep Your Heels Off the Yoga Mat.

Step 10: When Your Legs Are Fully Extended, Let Your Heels Rest on the Surface of the Yoga Mat.

Step 11: at This Point, Once Your Heels Touch the Yoga Mat, You Should Feel the Pressure Release From Your Lower Back and a Pop(s) Should Occur. Now Your Lower Back Pain Has Been Released!
