Introduction: Snowflake Trees...A Great Holiday Craft!

About: I am a middle school art teacher. I love teaching kids, and anyone who wants to make art.

Beautiful snowflake trees. Can be placed anywhere in your home!

A great craft to do anytime.

Step 1: Making the Snowflake Circles.

Cut out about 5 circles of different sizes. Some sizes can be repeated for more layers. Hint: Trace plates and bowls to get the different sizes.

Also, Circles make the best snowflakes.

Step 2: Fold Your Circles.

Fold your circles 3xs.

Step 3: Cutting the Snowflake.

Cut an inside pattern for the best snowflakes.

Take small cuts around the outside.

This gives them the snowflake "points."

Step 4: Rolling the Trunk

Start rolling your paper. Roll it as tight as you can. Glue as you go.

The trunk can also be made with a paper straw, dowel, or even a pencil painted white.

Cut off the ends to size.

Step 5: Make a Base for Your Trunk.

For the base, I used some white corrugated plastic. Anything will work.

Step 6: Cut and Place the Snowflakes.

Cut the center of the snowflakes. Make the cut slightly smaller than the trunk so that when you slide them on they stay in place. Position your snowflakes an equal distance apart. Hot glue them in place.

Your trees are done. More decorations can be added if desired.

Thanks for looking and maybe trying!
