Introduction: Solar Tree
Hi my name is vagish,I am a electronic enthusiast and a mechanical engineering student.I always wanted to plant a tree, being a tech guy I thought of innovative design + Eco friendly stuff.As I said before I am a student I thought of Exploring more thing,I saw A Tree With Wind Blades in one of the forums.I have the Idea to exicute the project but cant afford to do by myself.So in this Post I will tell you a step by step process of creating a solar tree.Basically the main idea of this project was use solar panels as many as possible,since there will be a lot of gap in between the leaves of a real tree ,In the same fassion the solar pannels which are at the back will get enrgised and vice versa during morning and afternoon.
We can make the body with Pipes of either pvc or metal ,(depends on the budget),fasteners for simple joint,wire,solar panales,etc

Step 1: Making the Frame
We can do It easily as well as with complexity.. If we want to have make a highly efficient tree we have to make as many branches as possible and sub branches too
Step 2: Solar Panel Selection
According to me Smallest of the Smallest will work great as the gap halps the sun rays to reach wide range of pannel.First my plan was to use standard 12v 100mA solar pannels but they are heavy,then i thought of very small Scientific calculator's solar ,Later I had a plan of using flexible solar panales which are probably used in satellites. This post if Just an idea and doesnot mean I did it..
Step 3: Wiring the Panales
We have to connect all the solar pannels in parallel just to increase the current of the NET output..the Output will be purely DC (direct current).
Step 4: Tools,Soldering, Wire Etc
I prefer to use 25w Soldering iron with color coded wire ..that is red fir positive and black for negative...Use multimeter to check the panels.. as panels are basically Semiconductor diode ..works under forward bias....When you check multimeter continuity you can easily find faulty cells.
Step 5: How to Utilize the Power
Use inverter, dc to dc boost circuit ir voltage regulator to get the desired output voltage..
Step 6: Bms and Battery Management
If we want to save the power being generated by the panels in a battery we have to use a BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and a bettery..Bms eventually control everything for the bettery's safety and stores as 12v or 24v..which we can easily convert into AC110-120/ 220-240 USING INVERTER
