Introduction: Spock's Scarf
Some years ago I made a Spock's scarf for a friend of mine who like Spock. \\//,
It's a very simple work, mostly if you can knit.
I can't hand knit, but I can machine knit. :)
Step 1: Materials
- 2 balls of light blue wool (more or less 100 grams)
- scrap of yellow and black wool
- tapestry needle
- knitting machine or knitting needles
Step 2: Scarf
Cast on 40 stitches. Work 20 rows in light blue, than change for 2 rows in yellow.
Change back to light blue, 8 rows, 2 rows in yellow.
Than you have to knit other 200 rows or the number of rows you need to have the lenght desired.
Step 3: Embroider
Embroider the wave pattern just adding 4 stitch here and there to the two knitted yellow rows.
Step 4: /\
Embroider Star Trek symbol. Unluckly I haven't kept the pattern I drew when I made the Spock's scarf, but you can use the one here. :) One rectangle is one knitted stitch.
Step 5: Enjoy Your Scarf!
Remember to hide very well the tails of the thread under the embroidered drawing.
Of course you can do anything with this method: sweaters, bags, or anything you can knit!
