Introduction: Squash Card

About: Mom, wife, traveler, baker, jewelry maker...and so much more!

This is another instructable that you will use for the next paper project I have in mind.

You can make the squash card as long as you want and have lots of space for your messages, wishes and photos.
I will show you how to make the basic squash card from 3 squares but if you want the card bigger, just use more squares. I used this card as a decoration for my Exploding box but you can also glue it between two pieces of decorative paper to give the card some hard cover.

You will need:
- 3 sheets A4
- scissors
- ruler
- pencil
- anything to decorate the card with – papers, pens, photos…

Step 1:

Cut three rectangles 10 x 10 cm. Fold each square horizontally, vertically and on one side also diagonally. Now your squares are split into smaller squares. (picture 1)

Place two squares on each other with the diagonal fold vertically (yes, my first square in the picture is wrong) and so their corner squares are one on top of the other. Glue these corner squares together. (picture 2)

Add the third square in the same way. (picture 3)

Time to fold, you will be using the diagonal folds. Take the first square and push the diagonal folds inside. (pictures 4 and 5)

Continue with the diagonal folds on the middle square (pink dots), just this time fold them outside. (pictures 6 and 7)

You’re left with the last square. Fold it’s diagonal folds inside. (pictures 8 - 10)

Decorate the card with photos, messages, scrapbook paper...and you can add a front to the card (pictures 11 and 12)
