Introduction: Stationary Power Generation Cycle

Power generation can be done by the people who wants to decrease their weights by peddling this cycle.

Step 1: DESIGN

The following are the parts we have designed in Fusion 360.

Pulleys

Flywheel

Base

Posts

Step 2: FABRICATION

Flywheel:-Made with a metal and used gas cutter and lathe machine.

Base & Posts:- These are made with MDF and used LASERCUT.

Pulleys:- We can 3D print them or purchase them which are readily available in the market.

Motors:- We have purchase them from electronics shops.

Step 3: ASSEMBLING

Assemble them as per our design.

Step 4: SEE THE POWER GENERATION

    That's a neat design idea :) Could you fill in some more detail about the measurements and assembly?

    Hi Swansong, The measurements you have to take as per the motors, shafts, pulleys bearings available with you.The height we need to consider the such that it must have sufficient ground clearance.

    Assembly:- First we need to attach bearings and motors to their respective posts with the help of fevicol as shown in above images. Then assemble the posts to the base with the help of hot glue gun. insert the shafts into posts from one side then then insert the pulleys, flywheels and belts as per order and then insert the shaft into remaining side posts. Align all the driven to driver pulleys. Then attach your peddles to last shaft from outside of the posts and then just drive it.
