Quick & Easy way to core strawberries

Step 1: Materials:

Drinking straw
Strayberry

Step 2: Point

Open the straw
Insert it into the pointy end of the strawberry.
Try to go as straight as possible.

Step 3: Push

Push the straw through the Strawberry.

My 7 year old can do it!

Step 4: Tah Dah!

Push the straw all the way through.
You should have the core and greens in the top of the straw.

Grab the greens and pull the core out of the straw.

Step 5: Repeat?

If you didn't get everything the first time, do it again.

You will be left with a perfect strawberry with a small hole.

Very little fruit is wasted this way!

Enjoy!

I saw someone on the interwebs doing some thing similar....Tried it on strawberries with my daughter and was amazed it worked..... I cannot take full credit..... Have you seen the guy that makes the little paper ketchup cups literally hold 2x's more ketchup? There are some amazing hacks out there!

Some folks make herbal tea out of fresh or dried leaves, including the calyx leaves, but never use decaying leaves---poisonous!

My daughter won't eat "The Grass" so we used to chop the top off.... At home I have an antique strawberry corner, but out and about we do this :)
