I love that this is such a versatile dessert, it looks fancy enough to be part of your special dinner. And its easy enough to make for an everyday snack.
Anyways, it´s such a tasty treat that you´ll end up making it more than you imagine and its amazing that we´ll only use 4 ingredients.
Once you taste it you won´t want to buy the boxed bars that are found at the granola bars aisle. These taste better, are fresh and you can actually pronounce all the ingredients.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
400 gr puff pastry
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup strawberry jam
Step 2: Roll Out the Dough
You can sprinkle flour on your working surface and the rolling pin to avoid that the puff pastry sticks.
When working with puff pastry, it should be cold, so keep it in the fridge until you roll it out. Handle it carefully, without kneading.
Make a long regtangle. Roll it out until it's 5mm thick.
Step 3: Cut
Use a knife to cut the dough, my rectangles are 9 x 14 cms.
Step 4: Put the Filling
Put as much jam as you like, but make sure to put it in the center, ,withouth touching the edges.
Step 5: Seal
To seal the edges, use a kitchen brush to put egg all over the perimeter, then fold them in three parts.
Press the edges.
Step 6: More Egg
Put them on a baking tray and cover them entirel with egg, this will make them crunchy and will help stick the sugar.
Step 7: Cut
Make some small cuts but just at the top.
Set your oven to 180 C and bake for 12-15 min or until golden.
Step 8: Enjoy
Once they´re ready and your house smells amazing, all you´ll want to do is give them a bite.
Warm are delicious, the sugar and the egg make them extra crunchy.
