Everyone loves a good hat. Well atleast, everyone can appreciate a good hat. Personally, I love fedoras. I have always wanted one of the classic wood standing hat stands. But the lack of shopping expertise(and money) prevents me.

So i came up with this solution

Step 1: Tack It Up!

They key to this whole instructible is one thing!: Thumbtacks. Something may work for you, but i had these 3 hats on the floor, and had 3 thumbtacks, so it worked out.

So needed materials:
x Thumbstacks, where x= number of hats you need hanging
Hats, any hat, So far, this only works for fedoras, but let me know about other hats!

Unfortunately, my camera is currently refusing to focus on the tacks in my wall, i shall update asap, until then I will supply you with a stock photo.

Step 2: Let's Get Tack-y!

This may take trial and error on your part.
I like even spacing between the hats as they hang, and the hats are all different in the brim, so i must have the tacks in certain spacing on certain spots. OCD, but easy to fulfill.

Anyways, tack up your wall.

Step 3: To Top Things Off!

This one is easy, add hat. Remember this simple equation to always get it right!:
a = x-b

where
a = number of hats not hung
x = number of hats
b = tacks in wall

Step 4: Finir!
