I made this piece to make a more accurate representation of the world we live in by creating a picture you can reach in to.

Step 1: Step 1: Gather Your Materials

You will need 2 to 3 pieces of construction paper, cardboard, paint, scissors, Exact-o knife, cutting board, paint brushes, picture frame, hot glue, and a hot glue gun.

Step 2: Step 2: Creating Your Image

Draw a picture with a front scene, main picture, and background.

Step 3: Step 3: Cut Your Canvas

Cut 4 pieces of construction paper that fit comfortably in your picture frame.

Step 4: Step 4: Creating Your Front Scene

Draw your front scene on one of your pieces and cut it out.

Step 5: Step 5: Creating Your Main Picture

Draw your main picture on another piece and cut it out.

Step 6: Step 6: Creating Your Background

Draw your background on another piece and cut it out.

Step 7: Step 7: Cutting Your Cardboard

Trace your last piece of paper on the cardboard and use your Exact-o knife to cut it out.

Step 8: Step 8: Making Your Frame

Use your Exact-o knife to cut about a centimeter in front of your other cut, replicate this.

Step 9: Step 9: Painting

paint your cut pieces of paper your desired color ( this includes your leftover piece)

Step 10: Step 10: Creating Your Picture

Layer your uncut piece, then your back drop, a piece of cardboard, your main picture, a piece of cardboard, and finally your front scene, glue it together and put it in your picture frame.

That's really cute :) I'm a fan of the wall displays I've seen like this done in layered fabrics!
