Step 1: You Will Need:

For this project you will need:

  • A jar (small is preferable but any size will do) also make sure any labels are removed.
  • Ribbon (for decoration)
  • Things to put in the jar:
  • (only used dry foods and herbs. I am using:
  • Rice
  • Parsely
  • Basil

Step 2: Getting Started:

First, take your jar and unscrew the lid. Next, fill the bottom of the jar with rice (about 1/8 full)

Step 3: Add Your Basil:

Now, pour some basil into your jar on top of the rice. With your finger, you can spread the basil on the ice so it is even. After that, add another layer of rice on top the basil.

Step 4: Add Your Parsley:

Next, add a layer of parsley on top of your rice. Again use your finger to even it out Also like step 3, add one last layer of rice.

Step 5: Finishing Touches:

To finish, add some more basil on the top. Then, screw on the lid of the jar nice and tightly. Lastly, tie a ribbon on the jar for decoration like shown in image 4.

I hope you enjoyed this easy DIY and I look forward to making more!
