Introduction: Super Simple Toffee Apple Dip

A tasty dessert doesn’t have to be complicated. This Toffee Apple Dip is always a crowd pleaser and usually the first thing gone at a party. The best thing is, it only takes minutes to prepare.

You can make this dessert for potlucks, a workplace treat, or even to have as a weekday snack. It’s a great no-bake option that will look impressive and taste even better. I get asked for the recipe every time I make it!

Satisfying, perfectly sweet, and the right mix of texture are what I look for in a dessert. This one checks all the boxes. I hope you give it a try!

Step 1: Ingredients & Supplies

For this recipe you will need:

  • 6 apples, sliced (I use a mixture for colour and variety. Shown here are Granny Smith, Gala and Ambrosia)
  • 1 package (250g) of cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 package (200g) of Skor toffee bits, divided (See Step 2)
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Electric hand mixer with beater attachments
  • Rubber spatula

Notes:

To soften the cream cheese, unwrap the cream cheese and place it on a microwave-safe plate. Use a knife to cut it into small sections. Place plate of cream cheese in microwave. Microwave on full power for 10-15 seconds.

If you are making this for a smaller group or for yourself, I recommend only cutting up the amount of apples you need at the time to keep the freshness.

Step 2: Mix

Place the softened cream cheese and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Using an electric hand mixer, beat on medium speed until well combined – about 1 minute. The mixture should be smooth and fluffy.

Set aside 2-3 tablespoons of toffee bits. Add the remaining toffee bits (about 3/4 cup) into the cream cheese mixture and fold in, using a rubber spatula, until combined.

Step 3: Arrange

Transfer the mixture into a serving bowl. Sprinkle the reserved toffee bits on top. Place the bowl on a platter and arrange the apple slices around the bowl.

Step 4: Serve

Your Toffee Apple Dip is ready to delight! Time to get dipping!

Note:

The dessert is best served the day it was prepared but it can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days (but I'm sure it will be eaten well before then!)
