Step 1: Materials
The materials used are Sugru and a magnet clip. The goal is to decorate the magnet for use on my refrigerator to hold up a recipe or any other lightweight paper material.
Step 2: Bulk
In order to make the Chef of Scandinavian origin I first bulked it out using one packet of blue.
Step 3: Mix It Up
Using the color chart included in the packets of primary colors I mixed together yellow, red, and white to get the desired skin tone color for the chef's nose and face.
You will kneed the colors for a awhile before the consistency is good enough to apply. A word of caution: follow the instructions on cleaning your hands. The material is very hard to get off your skin and can carry over to your next color.
Step 4: Application
Once the face was done I moved onto creating a brown color following the color chart suggestions.
To get some texture in the facial hair I used a pocket knife to add lines and mold shapes.
Step 5: Stick It Up
The chef hat was also bulked out this time using black, after which portions of white were applied to make the desired effect.
A small portion of plain red was used under the mustache for the mouth.
Let the finished piece sit for 24 hrs before using.
Once it settles enjoy your new Sugru Scandinavian Chef magnet.
